In this semester’s seminar series, Machine Learning in Biotech, we were privileged to have distinguished speakers from Microsoft and InstaDeep share their insights and experiences. We learned about Microsoft’s latest work on the EvoDiff model to predict protein sequence InstaDeep’s work on the Nucleotide transformer to predict functionality from DNA sequences. Both speakers provided invaluable perspectives on the integration of machine learning in biotech, inspiring us with their innovative approaches and real-world applications. The seminars were well attended and our audience members asked engaging and thoughtful questions.
