Genome Engineer (Principal Scientist)

March Therapeutics
Spun out of Harvard and MIT, March Therapeutics (MarchTx) is a stealth, venture-backed startup developing a novel class of DNA writers for a few dozen monogenic mitochondrial diseases that are all incurable today. Leveraging its proprietary suite of gene therapy tools, MarchTx is currently pursuing multiple preclinical programs in active collaborations with leading hospitals and universities worldwide.

We are looking to work with an ambitious individual who is highly motivated to push the boundaries of genome editing and advance our preclinical programs into the clinic with us. As a Genome Engineer (Principal Scientist), you must have a deep understanding of current advances and practical limitations of various gene therapy modalities (e.g., prime editing, base editing, AAV/LNP/VLP delivery, etc). You will be in charge of designing and optimizing novel classes of gene editors and leading a team of junior scientists and research associates toward scientific success and career development. We are a fast-growing startup aiming to be the first to introduce mitochondrial gene therapy to the patients; an ideal candidate should be comfortable with working in a fast-paced yet highly-collaborative environment with a strong mission-alignment.
