Fireside Chat with Dr. Rebecca Kusko
Join us on Wednesday, Nov 13th from 5 to 6 pm in room 2-132 for a fireside chat with Rebecca Kusko, PhD, Head of R&D at Immuneering Corporation. Rebecca will discuss topics including academia vs industry, various career options for BE majors, behind the scenes in the industry, what recruitment looks like from the employer side, and provide pro tips for networking.

Dr. Rebecca Kusko completed her undergraduate degree at MIT in Biological Engineering and earned a PhD in Genetics and Genomics from BU before joining Immuneering in 2014. At Immuneering she has been accelerating pharma R&D using bioinformatics and other advanced algorithms. Additionally, she is a board member of the MAQC Society, an FDA-led initiative around moving toward best practices for big data analysis. Her published areas of experience include: drug mechanism of action (MOA), drug repositioning, target identification, big data reproducibility, oncology, neurodegeneration, transcriptomics, and computational toxicology.
