Suono Bio is a preclinical-stage startup specializing in the ultra-rapid delivery of novel therapeutics to the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Co-founded by Professor Robert Langer (MIT), Dr. Giovanni Traverso (Harvard Medical School), and Amy Schulman (Polaris Partners), the platform delivery technology enables the localized administration of therapeutics, including biologics and nucleic acids, in a formulation-independent manner. The technology has been published in Science Translational Medicine and Gastroenterology and has won national awards including the
Lemelson-MIT National Inventors Prize and the National Collegiate Inventors Competition. The company was also awarded a Golden Ticket to LabCentral (Cambridge, MA) from Bristol-Myers Squibb. 
We currently seek a highly motivated, driven, and collaborative Scientist with experience in drug delivery and animal models to execute the company’s R&D program. The successful candidate will possess an outstanding track record that demonstrates a proven ability to drive research progress, including the ability to independently design, implement, and troubleshoot experiments and effectively present results and research plans.
Responsibilities will involve laboratory and operational roles, including:
• Design and carry-out critical experiments
• Cell-based assays including FACS
• Tissue dissection, staining, and immunohistochemistry
• Confocal microscopy
• Pre-clinical animal studies
• Scientific writing and presentation
Ideal Qualifications:
• Ph.D. from a top-tier school with a proven record of publication
• 2+ years post terminal degree (5-10 years preferred)
• Experience with animal handling and testing
• Well-developed analytical skill set applicable to protein and nucleic acid analysis
• Experience with advanced microscopy techniques and imaging
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Prior interactions with industrial partners preferred
• Capable of working independently in a small, fast-paced environment
• Excitement for breakthrough research and creativity in how technology is applied
• A desire to learn new skills and grow along with us
