Regeneron Process Scientist/Associate (Upstream)

Known for its scientific and operational excellence, Regeneron is a leading science-based biopharmaceutical company that discovers, invents, develops, manufactures, and commercializes medicines for the treatment of serious medical conditions. Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including oncology, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, atopic dermatitis, pain, and infectious diseases. Through this role, you will support the Manufacturing and Process Sciences Departments through small scale laboratory experiments, as well as analysis, troubleshooting, and validation of manufacturing bioprocesses.

You Will: 
•Conduct scaled-down production procedures to improve the efficiency and yield of candidate or existing bioprocesses.
•Carry out small-scale cell culture process studies.
•Assist in the analysis of samples generated from lab scale studies.
•Develop and write protocols for small-scale cell culture process studies.
•Tabulate results and write summary reports of cell culture process evaluation studies.
•Use statistical tools such as JMP and MVA to analyze process performance and product quality
•Present findings at group and possibly at interdepartmental meetings.

•Small scale Bioreactor (2L).
•Cell culture (CHO).
•Understand cellular metabolism.
•Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
•Understand cGMP and regulatory guidance such as ICH.
•Knowledge of process development and characterization is beneficial.
• Requires BS/MS in chemical/biochemical engineering or related field; may consider another degree discipline with relevant experience.
• cGMP experience is desirable.
